Joanna Path

Vocal, Ukulele and Songwriting Instructor

Joanna is an award-winning singer-songwriter and performer who teaches students from around the country. She has been on the Canadian music scene for fifteen years, playing multiple instruments, recording her own music, and competing in shows. A true music artist, she is releasing her debut album soon.

She received a Bachelor of Arts in Music and Business and a minor in Interpersonal Communication from the University of Waterloo. She also holds post-graduate certificates in Music, Music Industry, Business and Community Music.

She creates custom lessons for each student based on their level, goals and experience. In the first lesson she likes to get to know her students and their interests so she can better teach them.

Students may have the opportunity to perform through preparation with Joanna when they advance. Her approach is to challenge students to be their best and be themselves. She brings positivity and humor into her studio and encourages students to think creatively.

She helps students work on songs, technique, warmups, performance, ear training, demo recording, and lyric writing in inspiring ways. She plays all styles of music – Pop, Rock, Hip-Hop, R&B, Blues, Jazz, Classical – and can help you do the same. When students look for a new teacher, Joanna is the teacher they go to. She looks forward to learning more about you!
