Vocal, Piano, Songwriting and Theory Instructor
Musician and educator Glen Alan has been actively involved in the Toronto music scene for over 15 years. As a voice and piano teacher Glen has helped thousands of individuals from children to adults sing and play more effectively. Over the years Glen has offered and led various seminars and master classes on songwriting, music theory, voice, microphone technique, music business and recording for his clients.
Holding an Honours Diploma in Vocal Performance from Humber College and a Grade 8 RCM Piano Certification with Honours, Glen has over 15 years performance and recording experience and has performed with artists such as the Juno Award winning Brian Dickinson, the Juno-nominated, internationally-awarded vocalist, instrumentalist Dylan Bell, Suba Sankaran, Natalie McMaster, Mark Dubois, Steve Hunter and numerous others.
Glen has sung in number of Canadian based vocal groups and bands over the years including the Canadian Singers, Elemental, Show Time, No Nonsense and the Toronto super band H2O the Glen formed in March 2013. His latest musical project – The Oddest Prime, features Glen playing the piano and singing with violinist Ivana Popovic.
In his producing/recording career at Find A Way Studios and as Exective Director of the Made IN Toronto Festival Glen has worked and performed with many fine local and internationally acclaimed musicians including Natalie MacMaster, Julian Taylor, Joanna Borromeo, Babylon Warchild, Dylan Bell & Suba Sankaran, Elise Legrow, The Monkey Bunch, Tim Bovaconti, Jackie Richardson, Sterling Jarvis, Don Francks, Bill Colgate, Mark Dubois, Chris Birkett, John Dickie, Lenny Soloman, Paul Delong, Steve Hunter, Robert Graham and many others.
