Raf Wilcot

Raf Wilcot is an artist, composer, sound-designer, and songwriter. Their work marries the intuitive and technical, drawing from their backgrounds in experimental music from their studies at Concordia Montreal’s Electroacoustic Studies program, improvisation at the Creative Music Workshop in Halifax, and their long time extra-curricular devotion to songwriting and production. 

Their work has been awarded grants from the Canada Council and Alberta Arts Foundation, and they were selected as a resident for the Residenza program in Lumnezia, Switzerland in 2025. They have performed across Canada and the United States, appearing at festivals such as NXNE, Northside Festival in Brooklyn, Mutek Montreal, Sled Island, and many others. 

As a teacher, Raf aims to empower their students to find their unique voice as an artist and performer in an encouraging environment. They have experience in guitar, piano, production, and songwriting.
