Raf Wilcot

Raf Wilcot is a Tkaronto-based artist, composer, and sound designer. Their practice spans fluid and dynamic composition & songs, experimental sound systems, and improvisation using prepared and extended instrumental techniques (particularly on the guitar).
Raf has received support from the Canada Council for the Arts and the Alberta Foundation for the Arts, and was a resident in Casa D’Angel’s Residenza program in Switzerland in 2025. They have presented work across Canada and the United States, including performances at NXNE, Mutek Montreal, Sled Island, and Northside Festival in Brooklyn. Their interactive sound installation Flock will be shown in Lumnezia, Switzerland in January 2026.
They also work in sound design for film, television, and animation, and currently teach Sound Design for Animation in the Experimental Animation department at OCAD University in Toronto.
