Alex Fuchs is a Canadian born guitarist and bassist with over 15 years of experience in professional music settings ranging from live shows and recording sessions, to online and in person music lessons, workshops and masterclasses. Alex is a graduate of both Bellevue College’s Audio Engineering Program and Seneca at York’s Independent Music Production program where he learned not only to produce/mix/master music, but also honed his skills as a proficient and well rounded session musician. Alex has played in musical groups, live performances, and recording sessions in genres ranging from jazz, progressive rock and metal, math rock, folk music, latin pop, hip hop, indie rock, and more.

Alex’s experience as a composer and gigging musician, as well as his experience as a recording producer and engineer round out the creative and technical sides that make Alex a popular in-demand instructor and educator.

“The key to sounding great and having fun on the instrument is having a solid foundation in music theory and exposing yourself to as much music as possible. Expanding your musical toolbox and vocabulary – that’s how to get the creativity flowing freely.” – Alex Fuchs

Alex Fuchs’s background in electric guitar and music recording exposed him to many kinds of instruments, amps, and pieces of recording gear over the years. With over 15 years of experience as an instrument/amplifier repair technician Alex has worked previously at King Custom guitars in Ann Arbor MI where he worked mostly on guitars and basses and Hiwatt Electronics in Toronto ON where he developed skills to repair amplifiers. If that wasn’t enough Alex has also created his own professional line of guitar pedals. Whether your studio gear, amp, pedal or instrument needs a full overhaul or a minor repair bring it in for a full assessment and Alex will get you back to making music in no time.
