Mai-Ling Loo

For the past 22 years Mai-Ling has been a well respected guitar teacher and performer in the community. As a teacher she has combined her wide ranging knowledge of music pedagogy with her caring personality to help hundreds of students understand and experience the joy of music. As a performer she has established herself as a well respected and sought after solo guitarist and singer for both corporate and private events.

Mai-Ling shares both her teaching and performance experience by organizing recitals for her students. Her goal for her students, who range from 6 years to adult, is that they ultimately share and enjoy performing their music with others. Mai-Ling specializes in teaching acoustic, electric and classical guitar, and also ukulele for all ages. She is well versed in all forms of popular, rock and classical music.

Mai-Ling grew up in the small town of Trenton, Ontario, and came to Toronto in 1998 to attend York University where she studied music and theatre. She is continuing her love of learning and teaching by pursuing the Classical Guitar Performance Associate Diploma at the Royal Conservatory of Music.
